Special Event: Fairfield Beach Cleanup; This Sunday at 9am

Our SMA community providing support to those in need.

We’ve had a devastating couple of weeks to contend with in Fairfield County.  As many of you are aware, we have students who have lost their valuables and homes during Hurricane Sandy.
The Fairfield Beach area is still in shambles, but there has been enough ‘repair’ to allow us the opportunity to pitch in and help with the clean-up efforts!   There are many organizations which are seeking funds to aid the relief effort.   We would like extend a helping hand as well.

We are humbly asking for you to volunteer your time in order to help your neighbors.

We will be meeting at the school  on Sunday at 9am.  Master Dan is providing all volunteers with bagels and coffee.  We will then car-pool to the beach at 9:30 and begin with the cleanup effort.

Master Dan has put together a Facebook Event in order to help the folks in the affected areas of Fairfield Beach.  If you are on Facebook, please share this event with your friends, and consider joining our efforts.  Please plan on bringing rakes, shovels, work gloves – anything that will help to assist in the cleanup.

If you are not on Facebook, but would like to join us, simply email Kailen, so we can have enough food for volunteers.

On behalf of the entire staff at Stryker Martial Arts, THANK YOU for joining us in this effort!
