All Bo-Black students who intend to test for their Black Belt in June MUST REPORT to the school on Friday May 3rd at 6pm for a Pre-Test.
This is a MANDATORY class for any Bo-Black student who intends to earn the rank of Black Belt at our June Test. The Bo-Black student will work for one hour with our current Black Belts. He or she will then be evaluated by the Black Belts in order to determine whether or not they are ready to participate in the June test. All decisions regarding a student’s readiness are final, and are at the sole discretion of the SMA Black Belt students.
In the past, Master Dan – as chief instructor – has made the decision whether or not a student is ready to test for his/her Black Belt. We recognize that people may consider this to be a conflict of interest, since he is both the Chief Instructor as well as the business owner. In order to remove any conflict of interest in the decision-making process, we have instituted this Pre-Test, which will determine whether a given student is able to test in the next Black Belt Test.
All current Black Belt students who intend to test for a progress stripe in June are expected participate in this Pre-Test.
We look forward to seeing all June Black Belt candidates on May 3rd at 6pm!
