This Saturday, June 21st is the official first day of summer!

Not only that, it’s our Black Belt Test!  This is a very L O N G day for the Black Belt candidates and even L O N G E R for the staff — but we’re committed to holding classes and keeping our students on track for testing next week.  There will, however,  be a slightly modified schedule of classes in order to accommodate the Black Belt Test, which begins at noon.

Saturday June 21st Schedule

9:30am – 10:15am – Kickboxing

10:30am – 11:15am – 4-9 year old AND Juniors

As highlighted above, our 10:30 class will be a combined class for 4-9 year old karate students and junior students.  This will allow our instructors a much needed break to rest and fuel up, prior to embarking on a 6 hour Black Belt Test.

And speaking of testing… We look forward to seeing all students, parents, and supporters at the Dojo to watch the Black Belt Test! Even if you’re only able to stop in for a minute, your presence is felt and appreciated.  We will also have cards for all candidates in the viewing area, so you may write some encouraging words.

If you are a current kickboxing student, you will be allowed to view the test on the mat if you are in full uniform.  Please know that once you exit, you will not be allowed back on the mat, but are more than welcome to linger in the viewing area.  Folks watching from the viewing area are free to come and go as you please.

Black Belt Candidates:  Testing begins at NOON Sharp for current Black Belt Students going for a progress stripe or degrees of Black Belt.  Testing begins at 1pm for all Bo-Black students going for their Black Belt.  It is highly recommended that Bo-Black students arrive at the dojo no later than 12:45 in order to warm up.

GOOD LUCK!
